This is a dry flour mixture that needs to be rehydrated – empty the content of the packet into a small mixing bowl, stir in 125ml (½ cup) of cold water and allow to rehydrate for 30 minutes. ADD EXTRA CHILLIES if you want really HOT! Now drop spoonfuls in hot deep oil to make chilli bites, or into a pan with minimum oil to make hot savoury flapjacks. Enjoy with our delicious Beetroot Chutney and a dollop of Cultured Cashew Cream.
Makes 6-8 small chilli bites – this is a light meal in itself!
Storage: the packet can be stored for up to 2 months in a cool dry place. Use the batter within a day once mixed.
