DESIGN YOUR OWN EVENT AT OLD JOE'S KAIA
This is an invitation to run your own Event or Workshop at Old Joe’s Kaia Country Haven. Take an easy 3 hour drive from Johannesburg to the beautiful Schoemanskloof valley. Arrive, unpack, relax and start running your very own retreat or workshop. No mess, no fuss, just have fun doing what you do best.Under the sun, stars and sky we have exquisite gardens, our 7-seven circuit labyrinth, river walks, the ceremonial Olive Room, swimming pool and guided bird and ruin walks to the sacred Adam’s Calendar are all available to add to the experience.
Old Joe’s Kaia boasts an indoor Meeting Room / Conference Centre that is perfect for a meeting of minds with seating for 25, projectors and white boards. A Private Retreat at Old Joe's Kaia

We understand the need for privacy, yet are aware enough to hold space for you while you recover, recuperate or simply come to relax.What are the benefits of a Private Retreat? The most important outcome would be a personal transformation on a level or in an area that would make a life-changing difference.

Accommodation for your event guests / delegates
Accommodation is offered to your event guests / delegates in rondavels and kaia rooms. The interior and furnishings of the rooms are individually designed, eclectic and comfortable. There is no glitz or glamour here, instead, a lot of artistic quirkiness and style. Every room has its own en suite bathroom with bath and shower, as well as a private balcony or stoep (outdoor seating area). Tea and coffee (including a plunger with ground coffee) is available with home-baked biscuits. Bedding is made of 100% percale cotton.
The high quality amenities in the bathrooms are all organic and cruelty-free. Separate towels are provided for the swimming pool. Each room also has a heater and hot water bottle, as well as a ceiling fan. Please note that there are no TV sets in any bedrooms. A communal TV is available in the bar for the ‘not to be missed’ sporting events!. Wi-Fi is available in the main building only.
VIEW THE ROOM CONFIGURATIONRondavels
Rondavels are built in the typical traditional round shape with a thatch grass roof, which gives it a very distinct Africa feel. These units are naturally very cool in summer and beautifully warm in winter. 2 of these units are equipped with queen-size beds (1 is extra length), while the 3rd rondavel sleeps 3 guests in single beds.
Kaia Rooms
Kaia Rooms are semi-detached units yet very quiet and private. Soundproof walls and a double ceiling ensures even temperature throughout the seasons – cool in summer and warm in winter. Twin-bedded rooms (2 separate beds) as well as queen-size rooms are available.

Conferences at Old Joes Kaia
The Conference Room is a large log cabin, fully air-conditioned with all the necessary requirements including Wi-Fi Internet connection. It can comfortably seat 20 delegates in a U-shape. It is an ideal venue for small and intimate workshops in beautiful natural surroundings. The garden also offers various options for small breakaways with small seating areas in secluded corners.
Old Joe’s Kaia has a total of 8 rooms and can sleep a maximum of 18 delegates in 14 beds. Click here to see our room configuration. The Travelers’ Lounge in the main building is where you will take your coffee breaks, dine, unwind, and connect in a more informal space.
