How do we make a difference…?
“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” (Rumi)
Today we wondered how and what we offer in a competitive world. We realised that as a small community our contribution stretches far beyond just hosting an accommodation facility and some meals. We believe that living our vision and philosophy adds many drops to the ocean in creating awareness of the pitfalls of modern society. Being grateful for the clean air we breathe, the organic food that nourishes our bodies and the zest with which we live our lives because of it, all contribute towards knowing we have to create a better and more sustainable world for our children. We can’t carry on using single-use-plastics, we can’t keep cutting down rainforests for the sake of profit, we can’t keep on breeding animals under horrific and cruel conditions while expecting the world to be kind and fair to us.
We know how powerful a small handful of people can be. We need to walk our talk, pray for solutions and ‘plant forests’, while knowing that even the smallest contribution will make a difference… somewhere… We have taken sides, gotten off the fence and committed to help create awareness for those who have open minds and big hearts.
